Spurs havemore posession and still have not regestered a shot on goal. They are playing to concede nothing. There are no out and out striker on the field. This will be a long game
Pulisic didn't even get in there for their shootout against Werder. Witsel did, so I'd assume he's ahead of Pulisic in normal gameplay.
Right, and BVBs midfield trio of Dahoud, Delaney and Witsel is simply not good enough to take control of the match. That's been the problem. Tottenham's midfield plays safe balls, BVB not good enough to win it, and when they do, aren't clean enough or accurate enough with the passing to get it out to Sancho and Pulisic, while Mario's mobility hasn't been enough to play a False 9. He's playing more like a striker
Vertonghen man of the match, out of position, dealing with Sancho, and making the cross there. BVB has to push for the road goal.
pulisic needs to give them options on the left. stretch the field, do something. they are looking very stagnant in attack
As I have said before, Gotze is too slow, especially against Spuds. You need Phillip in this game with this pace.
