Kirovski is not starting. He's resumed his regular presence on the sub's bench. He's likely to come into the match in the second half.
I caught Jovan's appearance against Friedel on Fox the other day (match 2 weeks ago), Jovan looked very good in his limited role, doing all the things we know he can do (held ball well, occasionally beating opposing player, etc.). He appeared quicker than I've ever seen him in sometime (beat guys a couple guys with quick moves- not so much the greatest swivel), and had a couple real intelligent passes... It was a short stint, but by appearances, he is certainly not over his head at this level- although starting consistently may be beyond him....hopefully B'ham stays up this year....Even more than most players, I think Jovan's key is to stay within himself, play his style, and remain confident....Certainly, playing for Bruce, he doesn't seem to have that same confidence at times, maybe due to particular role on team, dunno? Believe it or not, I think MLS would actually be good for a player like Jovan for a couple years, for he likely would get more responsibility than a team in England, etc, ...if an MLS team would build their offense around a guy like Jovan, I think he may rise to the occasion, and max out his capabilities as a player..In any other circumstance (ergo, if an MLS team would just see him as a "regular" player as far as responsibilities), I would recommend he stay as a limited-role player in England. This is likely not an issue, since he seems content (no reason not to be) with his current situation..
Gee, where have I heard this before! I agree with you though, Jovan should have swallowed his pride long ago and put in a stint in MLS. I think he would have grown as a player. But alas, he is apparently happy with his paycheck and he finally IS getting some good minutes again. He may never be a starter at a high level team again, but he still has alot to offer as a player. Oh well.
