    7/23/11 Union 1 - 2 Real Madrid
    7/29/11 Union 1 - 2 cRapids
    10/30/11 Union 1 - 2 DynaFail
    3/18/12 Union 1 - 2 cRapids
    4/28/12 Union 1 - 2 Quakes
    8/29/12 Union 1 - 2 Crew

This familiar scoreline has become my favorite because it's a microcosm of everything that's so fundamentally wrong with this team.

    1. Can't score more than one goal a game.
    2. Unable to break down an opponent that is sitting back and playing the counter and/or set piece, we eventually concede the second goal.
    3. The goal differential shouldn't put the game out of reach, but it always does, because of #1. The opponent does just enough to win.
    3. The failure usually occurs in the last few minutes of a half or in stoppage, leaving no time for a reply. However it doesn't matter - see #1.

It's true that there's been 2-1 away losses, but they don't have the same futile character as the 2-1 home losses.

No doubt this team struggles mightily on the attack, but having the Real Madrid match on that list is just silly.

    The list is silly, period.
