According to Bavarian Football works, Nagelsmann said that its "normal" and "nothing serious". Also, I think Nmecha was tremendous. The funniest thing was when Goretzka was on a break, behind the defenders. Knowing it was Goretzka, I knew their defence would catch up.
Good to see all the key attacking players are in good form apart from Sane. Not that Sane was terrible - he creates a lot and gets in great positions - he just can't seem to get that final shot or assist in. Bizarro.
He created a lot of turnovers either and ruined attacks. I feel that Nagelsmann need to try a Plan B for his position because in a KO round versus e.g. France, those turnovers can break our neck.
The problem is in the build up to the tournament we have clearly developed the current set up, overall the automations and link up looked pretty good, so I don't think moving Musiala away from #10 is the best option. If we change too much now it isn't necessarily going to benefit the team. I agree an alternative to Sane would be good, it's a shame both Karl and Gnabry are missing and that we didn't call up another pace option. I would probably try Leweling or possibly Beier, but leave the rest of the attack in place from the Curacao match.
It is a strange one, I mean he made a couple of very dangerous runs in behind that led to clear chances, problem is he can't finish. The one from Tah's long ball was actually top class movement and control, if he finishes it it's a great goal. Always been the issue with him I guess, flashes of brilliance but not consistent or clinical enough.
Worst german 9 ever. 2018 was in part down to the fact that he couldn't hit the side of a barn from 6 yards.
