Any idea how one will be able to watch/listen to the Crew's 1st game on March 16th? Also, are there tickets still available in Sec. 137?

There is no TV or radio telecast of the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. We'll have to rely on the witty reporting of Craig Merz.

As for seating for Section 137 for the return leg, you should post something in the V-Army stickyed thread or PM Zak for ticket info.

The away game may be net-cast on www.thecrew.com

As for the home game, if you have season tickets you'll have a ticket that says "International Game". Use that for the 23rd. If you don't, i'd imagine you could buy tickets for 137 under the trees south of the stadium in the big grass parking lot. Tickets will be around $10.

Any idea on what are lineup is going to look like in Panama? I was reading the reports of the recent training camp stuff, and it seems things are really still up in the air. I kind of hate the fact that this is almost like a preseason game than a tournament game with some real meaning.

However, I feel pretty good that the boys will get in the spirit of things once they arrive in Panama.

As for the return leg at CCS... Zak, my man, what's happenin with V-Army tix? Are you going to be my hookup at the tailgate? Current plans are to attend w/ the lady, and we're looking forward to it. Give me a heads up on the tix.

Our first meaningful game on the international stage will be a complete BONANZA! We're going to have tickets, we're gonna have food, and most important we're gonna have FREE BEER! So this goes to all my partiers out there, Big Poppa Flaskman is your hook up, holla if you hear me.

This will also be the first game that we institute another tradition, the V-Army raffle. For $1, you can enter a raffle for a match ticket. We'll start selling the $1 raffle tickets three hours prior to match time, then pull the ticket one hour prior to kick off. At that point someone will have a freeby, and the rest of the people will then be able to buy the normal $10 ticket.

How can this get any better??? Free beer, a free ticket, V-Army, the people's group.

Ahhh, I kind of remember our first game from last year. It started with myself, hang, swittler, and crewpens drinking in the parking lot before the game. I think it was 5 hours or so before the game when we started. The game kind of went like this:

Show up to the stadium early... very cold and windy.
Open up my bottle of Aftershock.... still very cold and windy.
Half-way through the bottle... getting warmer outside.
Bottle DONE... I think its warm enough to just wear shorts!!

How the hell did I wind up in the parking lot??

Moral of the story -- drink, be merry, and freeze your butt off on the 23rd!!!

Just kind of curious, ZAK. How is this deal being spread around outside of cyberspace? Is it word of mouth, does V-Army plan to put out an ad in the Dispatch. Is there any hope the Crew front office would give you the vouchers a week before the game to make it easier for V-Army to sell. I don't want to say anything, but most people that show up to CCS on game day have a ticket already and those that don't, most aren't V-Amy type of people(meaning loud and knowledgeable of the game). An ad in the Dispatch would be kind of cool; A kind of call for new members. If your Loud, Crazy, and Drunk call V-Army at 555-FOOK(Just kidding) :p

we mainly operate at games through handing out our fanzine, it has all of the necessary info in it for people to learn about the group. As far as an ad in the dispatch that would be nice, but funding for it is out of range. Maybe if we put up some signage in the parking lot?

I just had a massive idea, maybe instead of the beer, we make a huge cooler full of seven and seven, you figure to bottles of whiskey, three or four of seven up, that would be righteous. Maybe we wait until the LA match for that.
