So why should I join 1906/Ultras instead of The Casbah?

I hate to tell you guys, but as a former Los Angeles resident, I'm used to support the Galaxy. Now that I go to school in Santa Cruz and the Galaxy have crumbled into what they are, I'm really over them. The Earthquakes have taken what I liked about the Galaxy (Cannon, Glinton, Franky, etc) and they're a lot closer, so I figured I'd try to get out to the games.

We are two groups (Casbah & 1906Ultras)very dedicated to support our team.

Now, I advice you to go back to el-lay and do your SH1T STIRRING overthere

It really depends on you attitude. We have a harder edge so to speak. As the Casbah is rated PG we are rated R (maybe NC-17 :D). We are far more interested in standing, singing, and chanting for the entire 90 minutes and will insult the hell out of our opponents. So if want to have some fun do a few chants and watch the game the Casbah is for you and by the way nothing wrong with that. If you are more hardcore then the 1906 Ultras is for you. Personal preference.

Stop right there. That'll just about do it. If you want to come, you can go to the Casbah.

I'm a member of both groups, so I don't wanna offend anyone in the Casbah, but I have to say I think 1906 Ultras have the better looking scarves. Also, 1906 Ultras are a little less established, so your chance to make a mark with the group may be better.

Whichever group you join, you need to hate the Galaxy with a passion. So we may have to fumigate you, but then you'll be one of us.

We don't typically haze new members, but being a former Galaxy fan? Maybe there is rehab for this sort of thing.

Way things are going I'm there too! :D

Of note, for STH the 2/13 game is free--just bring some form of ID. the 2/16 game in SF is $15 and since it's looking that tix will only be available at the door need to get there as early as possible. Regardless, it's going to be a sizeable crowd IMO.

You can now get tickets online--if you were a season ticket holder a link was emailed. It was also mentioned on the main boards.

It will come up to $21 but if you just want to head to the gate get them in advance for a bit more.

We don't want you, sorry. I doubt the Casbah would want you either. Stick to LA. Out here in the Bay we don't change teams like this.

In other words, there is hope. A Filth Traitor ought to be a friend of EQ fans, no? What they hate must be good.

Hey all! I haven't been on Bigsoccer in awhile, but it looks like the 1906 is going to get to cheer on the Quakes from Kezar where it all started.
