Voeller has announced the squad that will play against Croatia in Split. Former Bayern amateur Philipp Lahm is the only new face with Hamann and Frings back in the line up after long term injuries. Goalkeepers: Oliver Kahn (Bayern Munich), Jens Lehmann (Arsenal) Defenders: Frank Baumann (Werder Bremen), Arne Freidrich (Hertha Berlin), Marko Rehmer (Hertha Berlin), Andreas Hinkel (VfB Stuttgart), Philipp Lahm (VfB Stuttgart), Jens Nowotny (Bayer Leverkusen), Christian Woerns (Borussia Dortmund) Midfielders: Michael Ballack (Bayern Munich), Fabien Ernst (Werder Bremen), Jens Jeremies (Bayern Munich), Paul Freier (VfL Bochum), Torsten Frings (Borussia Dortmund), Dietmar Hamann (Liverpool), Christian Rahn (Hamburg), Sebastien Kehl (Borussia Dortmund), Carsten Ramelow (Bayer Leverkusen), Bernd Schneider (Bayer Leverkusen) Forwards: Fredi Bobic (Hertha Berlin), Miroslav Klose (Kaiserslautern), Kevin Kuranyi (VfB Stuttgart), Benjamin Lauth (1860 Munich), Oliver Neuville (Bayer Leverkusen)
Lauth looks a useful player. 1860 seem to blow hot and cold at the moment. But Lauth seems to have to carry the team quite a bit - just my opinion. Worthy of a run out.
I saw Philipp Lahm a few months ago and thought he would be the solution for Germany's right back. So I am glab that he is on this team.
