    a little help, please.

what club finished in 16th and is going down with pacos ferreira and estrela amadora?

any information that i get on portuguese league football usually comes from this board, save results, which i've usually gotten from footballresults.czweb. when i looked at the final weekend's results and the final table, they showed (and still show) belenenses in 16th, and going down. they show alverca in 15th (staying up), level on points with belenenses, but with a better goal differential (-16 to -19). it occurs to me, however, that 2nd place (should benfica and sporting finished level on points) was going to be decided not by goal differential, but by head-to-head results. if this standard is applied throughout the table, then alverca should be going down, having beaten belenenses 1-0 at home, but losing 2-0 at the restelo.

i then went to a couple of other sites to check the tables, and found a couple (including belenenses' official site) that listed belenenses safely in 15th, as well as another that had them in 16th.

my present assumption (and hope) is that belenenses finished 15th, and is staying up. is this not correct?

also, since the super liga apparently uses head-to-head competition to determine table placement among teams level on points, what would the situation be should three sides finish level on points with conflicting head-to-head results (i.e. side A has a better record than side B, side B is superior to side C, and side C bested side A)? would it then go to goal differential?

thanks, in advance (and pardon my ignorance).
