That would be nice for online gaming. My (clueless) prediction is that when it comes out, it'll be a premium option. And I don't see why it wouldn't be. Road Runner (Time Warner) offers a basic option as well as premium option. Not everyone needs the super-fast speed.

Now, if only they could do something about adding FSC to their basic digital lineup and make Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia available on satellite (as is CSN Chicago, CSN Mid-Atlantic, etc.)

I'd be more impressed if my Comcast cable internet didn't operate at 0 megabits per second half the time.

Have you unplugged it recently? Whenever my (Time Warner) cable modem is slow, I unplug it for about 30 seconds, plug it back in and it's fine.

I do that so often I think I am going to eventually break the connector.

It often fails if it rains, and it's just terrible in hot weather. Didn't have a single problem all last fall.

I'll be the first to ask it:

How will this improve ITVN's Setanta feed? If anything, it'll allow for better reception while accessing the internet. (AKA, more bandwith = better. :))

Considering how fast my '8Mb' modem runs, I think this one will get about 5Mb/s, if you're lucky.
