The U.S. women have played South Korea just three times: twice in 1997 when they picked up 7-0 and 6-1 wins, and then again in October of 1999 at the Nike U.S. Women’s Cup, a 5-0 win in Columbus, Ohio.

By way of updating the Koreans' record, they just came off a thrashing in the Australian Cup:

    Australia 2-0 Korea
    Sweden 8-0 Korea
    Mexico 8-0 Korea

They also exhibited their trademark lack of discipline and lack of respect for the officials in that tournament. Don't be surprised if they continue their antics in North America.
