Game starts at 3 p.m.(GMT), lineup should be unchanged from last week. Marcus expected to start. Is convey in the states yet? Not sure that it will matter, as Morgan is thought to start, Brooker on the bench to back him up.

I don't think that any of us know for sure. Bruce Arena has not released the names of the group in training, so we're left to guess on who is there and who is on the way.

Hahnemann starts, Convey on the bench.

Well, I guess that answers the question of where he is right now.

Moment of silence for the victims of the train accident in Reading last week. Announcers offer praise afterwards to the Cardiff fans for not disrupting it. Talk about expectations.
    Game on, btw.

Goal, 1-0 Reading. Bad news for Convey breaking in, as Dean Morgan takes a clearing ball and bursts into the box, beats a man, uhm, tries to cross and ball bounces off the keeper into the net. still, a nice start. 17 minutes

Reading dominating game (thus far, 65 percent of possession), Cardiff looking to break but yet to force MH to put down his water bottle. Morgan is rampaging down his wing. Rampaging, I say.

Point being made that Morgan's goal is the first of the season for a winger, naming convey, brooker, little as the ineffective ones. So, that's a mention for convey then.

So do I. Sadly, he'll have more time for that. Brooker is coming on for Morgan.

The Yank on the Flank is getting ready to come on. Convey for Hughes. He'll have about 10 minutes.

Convey now actually comes on. Let's make the most of it. BTW MH has been very steady, which is what is expected.
Convey's first touch is to pick out sidwell, who makes nothing of it, but he has touched the ball.

83 Convey keeps the ball alive. Doesn't do anything of note, but sounds like he's hustling. Reading, up 2-0 are looking to last for the whistle.

85 Convey breaks away, cuts it in for Shorey, who knocks to Owuysu, who tries a cheeky over head flick, instead of laying off for a streaking Sidwell.

He's gonna have a great 10 meet run. I can feel it!

Crap, header beats MH, he was charging for the shooter and gets looped. Being heavily criticized. Should have stayed on his line. "A really rash decision>"
    "
Cardiff on on the attack, again, convey clears.

    its. 89 minutes, 2-1.

Convey getting a lot of mentions, not a good thing. Forgot to metion, Cardiff are 10 men, captain red carded.
    Way too pressure.

2+ added, and they're on. Newman on for Kitson, who is limping. Cardiff put a ball over the bar. Reading trying to waste time, convey doing that with his hand. Ref does not approve.

Cardiff break free, 35 yard ball to the back post, and shooter is open. Wide.

"Far more tense than it should have been."
MH. If we hold on, the results elsewhere are in our favor.
    FT, 2-1. phew.

Convey very, very active. But Reading were under siege for his time on the field. Obviously, not his fault, as Cardiff, after seemingly giving up, flat out came alive, stole a goal, and went wild.
MH was solid until he made a bone-headed charge, though unclear what kind of support he had.
Doubt convey will get a rating for 10 minutes. MH probably at a 5, would have been a 6, maybe 7.
Still, final verdict, three point won is three points won.
