This is an officially announcement. After retiring in 1999 season. The 12th man of DC United is back this season. The lucky "DRUM" will be cheering with all the fans and chanting DC United!follow by 6 drum beats. Salvatore is the creator of many chantings you hear in the stadium. Also every time the team is charging to the opponent side, you will hear a sound-off of a siren, which is means the visiting team is in danger. In addition we all do the WEAVES and chant OLE! everytime the ball is hold by a DC UNITED player, like fans do for the greatest teams like Real Madrid, Boca Juniors, America, Lets do together OLE! OLE! at RFK.
Salvatore's Drum was the first one at RFK in 1996.

I LOVE SOCCER, YOU LOVE SOCCER, UNITED WE LOVE SOCCER

For ths who know me I have always been a supporter of DC United and there is no doubt in my mind that we should return to glory, a single player has never made a diference to me, even now that Etcheverry is not here. Unlike sme of the supportes clubs who choose to cheer on their specific player.

The only time people on the quiet side ever chanted and made noice was when Salvatore banged the drum in 96-98. Welcome back! :)

This was the off-season we got Freddy Adu. And the off-season we got back to basics with a new, discipline-oriented coach.

And yet, this is the best news I've heard in the entire off-season. Welcome back!

Well...KP has mentioned that when they arrange the Etcheverry testimonial, it would likely be against Bolivar (aka Cholivar), meaning that, Salvatore better bring that siren to scare off all cholo fans. If RFK reeks of stench left behind by the Arce fans, it'll be deemed an environmental biohazard once the cholo fans come in masses.:)
