And this is after they sent David Luiz packing. T-8th in terms of goals allowed, alongside Brighton, Arsenal, and Bournemouth. They could very well be in that bottom 10 in an hour.
Would Miazga actually be a step down for the Chelsea defense? Asking honestly as I can't see this game, and haven't seen any of his recent games for Reading.
As fast and hard as the Prem is, I think he'd "fit right in" and that's probably not good. I don't think he's ready for this level.
HT 1-1 CP has been fine but the team as a whole has been a bit off with their passes. The result has been lots of possession, decent attacking ideas but most attacks breaking down before the shot. Mount has been active but wasteful. He’s playing like someone who NEEDS to score and, as a result, is off frame. I would replace him with Jorginho for his more precise passing. The best defensive option seems to be to not let AV have the ball. Otherwise, Kepa best be on his toes.
If "this level" is Chelsea, I agree. I think he's more than capable of playing for like, Southampton.
I don't get why Kante is playing so high. It seems like him and Mount are just getting in each other's way and by playing Kante so high it weakens the hell out of their defense as he prevents so many attacks from reaching their shit back line. Lampard's 1st real challenge since the opening weeks to get the tactics right and get things turned around. A tie today is no good.
wow, what play from willian. CP involved in the link up. Great volley from Mount he's got a cannon on him that's for sure. Nice play by Tammy too.
Chelsea has to score 4 goals a game to be safe. Mount scores so now we have to hear for another 2 weeks that he is the greatest statesman since Churchill.
Lumpy doesn't want to defend. Chelsea is no good at defending. Kante is defending by attacking. It is a daring philosophy that works (sometimes) when you score 4 and have superior quality. Or if like Valencia the other team misses 5 sitters. Teams know they will get their chances if they keep it close late.

CP tried to dribble pass 3/4 defenders in the box and lost the ball. Not a good decisions. I sense he's getting desperate, haven't seen the ball much.
Now that CP is clearly rated above Mount where he should be, I find it hard for people not rooting for the guy. Mount and CP have a lot of potential to play really well with each other. They both move off the ball pretty intelligently. Mount's long distance shot needs respected the same way Pulisic's dribble does which opens things up.
And Christiensen the Ream, except he deserves it. Mount can turn on goal and shoot. He can't pass. It's an irritating quality in a midfielder.
