Those are my thoughts exactly. I think Newcastle have a very decent chance of scoring at least once if Bellamy and Kluivert push up for 90 mins. It will be tough defending 2 big guys with only Terry matching their size. Ferreira is awesome, by Magpies might try to pull Bolton and send long balls towards Bellamy and Kluivert. I hope we can score early to force them into taking chances and opening their deffense more. My prediction is either a high-scoring game (3-2) or 2-0 to the Blues.

As usual, Clan, very good points. I should be breathing easier than I am about this game, and I'm not sure why.

I'm going to blame it on watching the 2003-2004 seaso wrap-up video last night. ;)

The Toon aren't a bad side.
I'm happy as a pig in you know what, that Shearer wont be playing.
Bellamys pace will be a problem, i wonder if Terry will be exposed.
Will be interesting to see how Carvalho will be played with that in mind, perhaps he may even be on the bench and Gallas in the middle with Terry.

Thats what i would do anyway.
Gallas in the middle on bellamy and Terry on Kluivert.Bridge on the left and Ferriera on the right.

Alas, i'm here in Pennsylvania and Mourinho is in charge...um....where did i go wrong eh :p

Kluivert's height is deceptive. He is not a very physical player; he likes the ball at his feet.

Clan, go put money on a 0-0 scoreline... am going to the game :D

Seriously though, I hope it would be 3rd time lucky and I'd eventually get to see someone score at the Bridge. Oh, from the Blues of course :p

Dr I, am at West Lower too. Hope to see you there. Have fun Monkee!

I like Shearer actually, always have.
    Class act.
It's just that he tends to get a litle carried away on the pitch sometimes....

Your having a giraffe. Chelsea bump up the ticket prices, when us geordies come in to town. I am addicted to this board mate, simple as.

What would a trip to the game cost these days from Newcastle, about £100 for the day?

Early report on the team line up..

    ................Cech..............

    Ferriera....Terry....Carvalho......Gallas

    Tiago......Makelele......Lampard

    Duff.......Gudjohnson......Robben.

    Strong team.
No Bridge, can't say i like that at all, wonder what the boy did to lose his spot, apart from getting injured?
Tiago continues to impress, it'll be hard to dislodge him now.
Drogba being eased back in i assume, although Gudjohnson has been an excellent 'team' player these past few weeks, linking up excellently with the wide men.
Nothing unusual at all in the other selections.

In the NUFC programme, travel down and a ticket would cost 70 quid. But if you go with mates, it'll be around 100 - 150. You need your beer money, petrol for the travel down, a match ticket, food. Its not worth it and its on Sky TV. Result me thinks.

GOOOOOD MORNING! God I hate 7:30am games. I'm going to the Army-Navy game soon as this is over. Man it's going to be a long day...

Now to the game, Mel, you just don't want to pay all that to lose.

I agree with what Clan said earlier, I think NUFC is going to come right at us. I rate Bernard in their back but no one else. I just missed the lineup so I don't know if he's playing today. I really like Craig Bellamy. I know he's one of the most hated players but I think he's really quality. He is going to be a handful today. He's been on form recently while playing on the right. Today he'll probably be playing up front with Kluivert though.

A very slow start from Chelsea here, i think Newcastle have actually had more of the ball.
We haven't created a thing yet.
