It's usually been nice to see this guy's stuff on MLS in SD, but I don't like his take on Donovan and MLS in this one. I agree that it's uncomfortable seeing Anschutz 'owning' so much of MLS. But there are other numbers that say that MLS isn't 'foundering'. Oh, wait. The author doesn't come up with the headlines. Nevermind. Just the usual swipe at soccer via headline-writers.
San Diego Sucker Punch I didn't know SignOnSanDiego.com was so down on MLS. There were many wrong statements in that article. MLS is not flounding, and attendance isn't flat, it's gone up for two consecutive years. Hmmm...maybe San Diego doesn't deserve an MLS team after all. I wonder what SanDiegoFlash has to say about this.
