The only CL game tonight is in Dortmund. Juventus, already through and needing only one point to clinch first place in the group, is starting a lineup quite similar to last week's Coppa Italia game:

    Chimenti
    Tudor
    Ferrara
    Iuliano
    Pessotto
    Conte
    Davids
    Maresca
    Miccoli
    Di Vaio
    Zalayeta

Hakan Sukur has given Gala a 1-0 lead just at the start of the second half. Nedved and Trezeguet are on the bench. We'll see how long before Lippi gets a sub in there. Clinching 1st would be nice although it shouldn't be too hard to get the point at home against Olympiakos next week. The next two Serie A games are hard either way - Lazio and then Parma. Would be nice for next week's game to be completely meaningless.

75th minute and the first sub is ... Appiah for Iuliano. He's "going for it" now! BTW, it's a nasty game apparently with 5 yellows shown so far (4 to Juve players - Conte, Zalayeta, Di Vaio and Maresca).

And Sukur finishes off a fine four days for Juventus by scoring his second. But not before Davids gets booked. Tudor gets booked as well. 2-0 is the final. What a mess.

I don't care how "meaningless" a game is, it's never good to lose twice in a row. This was an opportunity lost, IMO. And now it just means Olympiakos has to come looking for a win to have a hope for a UEFA Cup spot.
