Looking in the regulations, away goals during regulation time are the first tie breaker.

This is why the away goals rule is stupid.

Dang! Monterrey showed why they are the 2 time defending champions.

    Now 3 time defending Champions.

    Congratulations Monterrey.

Could JP and Dunseth make this occasion sound any more mundane? My god they're both such awful commentators.

The only thing that ever gets them excited is HERCULES GOMEZ! And occasionally HUMBERTO SUAZO! or DARWIN QUINTERO!

But yeah. Absolute monster of a finish. Was so happy to see Monterrey battle it back. A very entertaining club. Very entertaining. Good lord. I'm sweating still.

He actually had a very poor game for the most part, if you ask me. If he'd been on top of his game, it might not have been so close of an affair. I'm thinking, among other things, that pass in the box to his left to the open player ten feet away that he instead boots past the touch line. He looked embarrassed about that one, though.

Now Corona and de Nigris... those were good forward players.

You shoulda watched in Spanish. For studio host Antoinetta Collins alone

Absolutely epic, amazing game. It's games like these that remind us why we love this sport. The Tec was rocking with an energy level rarely, if ever, surpassed in North America. Crazier than Mexico WCQs or OSU-Michigan games. Just nuts. The Macro is off the chain right now.

Winning 3 straight continental titles in world football right now is an amazing feat. The last C-CAF team to do it was Blue Cross in the 70s. Not even Auckland City is able to 3peat in the OFC. This is a major accomplishment.

So both Bayern and Mountking move on today to the CWC quarterfinals. Bayern vs BVB and Mt vs TBA.

So Now Concacaf is saying Quintero and Muños are both Golden boot winners.

What ever happened to the tie breaker of who ever scores more goals in the Final (Quintero) wins the Golden Boot?
