No he won't. Tuca is well known for doing this crap. He's a fantastic tactician, great motivator, probably one or the best in Mexico right now... but, this is his mentality. Tuca won't continue with Tigres after this tournament, that's for sure.
I am still bothered by what he did in the libertadores he really disrespected the tournament. I enjoy watching Tigres play and would love to see them in the libertadores next year because I really think they have a deep enough squad to go far. Hopefully this is Tuca's last season.
I think talking about the coaching decision really takes away from the victory. Sure , Tigres probably could have won but some of the golazos scored tonight would have been hard to stop no matter who Tigres would have put out there. Let's give more credit to Seattle for getting the job done over the two legs. Especially last week only losing 1-0 in Mexico.
Nice win Seattle but still not the one MLS is looking for. We beat an unprepared second string and needed a red card before the comeback started happening. Still, at least it got done.
Not if he wins the Liga, I doubt they will fire him, but maybe the FO will sit him down and ask him to give a little shit about Libertadores.
I mostly meant just an MLS team winning a home-away fixture vs. an "A-team" Mexican side, which is certainly what we faced in Houston and will be facing in Mexico.
I heard he was getting a back surgery after the tournament... and there's rumor about Tomas Boy having talks to la directiva.. so we can only hope.
Seattles goals came from the obvious tactical change because of the red - and they were out for blood. If that red didn't happen a reserve side would have embarrassed Seattle at home - and almost did with 10 men too.
Almost embarrassed Seattle at home? Hardly. Tigres has nobody to blame but themselves for the red card and for fielding a reserve side. Seattle capitalized and dominated in the second half. Tigres is lucky that they didn't lose 5-1. Credit to the Sounders. But, then again, I guess hell would have to freeze over before a Mexican credits an MLS team for beating any FMF team.
LOL Like I said, hell would have to freeze over for any Mexican to give credit to an MLS team for beating an FMF team. The Sounders deserved to win...they advanced. Did you enjoy that golazo by Traore?
Where are Yedlin's parents from. I know the kid is from Washington but his Grandmother and his moms seem like they're from some South American country.
No idea what the deal is with his actual parents, but on his wiki it says he was raised by his guardians Ira Yedlin and Vicki Walton
There is this piece from the U-23 page http://www.soundersu23.com/home/636607.html But it doesn't give any more details.
Thats his grandma according to that article. Yedlin is an odd American last name lol.. kid definitely looks hispanic, aside the hair due..
