guate must with by 2-0 to move on.....

A tie will do for colombian coach (knowing his ways)

Look after #14 the future of colombian footy!

could by a very even match, both team's forwards are struggling to hit the net.... could be explosive!

how do you guys see the match?

it should be a no brainer...Gautemala has a decent midfield + offense, though they can't put the ball in the net if their lives depended on it (sound familiar?), but their defending is horrid. Colombia must show Guatemala their speed, strength and ingenuity. If Colombia scores in the 1st 30 minutes, this is a 3-0 game. If Colombia goes into the half with a tie, then it is troubling.

Molina's size will be a huge advantage upfront, while Patino, Lozano + Hernandez will be very good in the middle. I just hope that Castillo wakes up from his sleep of 1 year....

guatemala suffer vs jamaica cuz' the physicality of the game imposed by the islanders...

colombia could do that: Mao and choronta are small but nasty at times, and no one notices that often. Then is the big guys like castillo and Harold L....

I hope pacho uses more the shots from Bustos and keep viviescas On the shadow, the game looks good for a guy like Julian Vasquez (he should be Hungry for goals, to increment his value on trade days)

Look out for #14.... and today we shoould be wearing the right uniform! cabala.......

what is you lucky charm (cabala) when colombia plays?

Sometimes I realize how 'americanized' I've become when I hear words like 'cabala'.

I know Choronto is not very big, but Molina is not a small guy...he's actually stocky + tall

So if Guatemala wins by 1-0 or 2-0 Jamaica wins the group by virtue of a better goal difference right?

Or does head to head come first?

I don't think Guatemala can handle Colombia but as they say in football the ball is round and on any given day anything can happen.

I agree with lsfr1544 that Guatemala needs to score first and not have to worry about pressing to score equalisers etc.

If they leave their back open the way they did against Jamaica they will be made to pay by Colombia who are better finishers than us.

Mao Molina is simply amazing. The kind of guy who could take Colombia back to the World Cup CAMINANDO with his ability.

I know he's young, but he's incredibly talented, and he won't be too young three years from now to lead a team at the highest level.

Let's see what he shows in the Gold Cup--will he be too tired from the Libertadores?

Watching DIM and America de Cali not only changed my mind about the level of Colombian futbol, it made me realize that Colombia shouldn't have to haul JP Angel back for every qualifier. They've got enormous talent in-country--enough to qualify. And it starts in September.....

thanks for the comment - I have to agree!

now, this radio cast sucks.... darn Tv rights and PPV sales!

colombia is all over guate., they are using the wings more than vs jamaica, Mao is very active with vallejo and Bustos (america de cali)

2 counter attack from guate - very dangerous
they even claim a PK in one strange play

    with aroma coffee-goal!

    10 minutes gone - 1st half

Pk from pescaito Ruiz - minuto 22

    goalllllllllllll is 1-0

Iffy call from ref/..... yellow card to farid M

they say that an earlier non-call was cleared PK.... the law of comepensation

quiet stadium- with 15k colombians and about 2k guates.

minuto24- corner kick - long play from gio to castillo

I am going to take the high road efernandez -:)

well if that is the case I might as well pull for this result.

Since Colombia have a one goal advantage I wonder if they will sit back or attack and risk letting in the other goal

they want to win - no question about that!

    we want brazil badly!

they just made 3 subs: castillo out for Julian el paisa vasquez
virviescas for Harold Lozano (que tronco than hp)
    velasquez for Vallejo (defender)

velasquez can score from far, pin point type of free kicks.

they will settle for a tie.... I think, but this coach is in a lot of trouble..... all the first halfs, in the last 3 months have been bad, very bad futbol display for colombia. Gio Hdz - our leader is no were to be found.... what up with that....

    3 minutes - 2nd half 0-1
