Agreed. What I wanted to happen with mbappe happened. And now throwing a grenade in that team with mourinho. Fantastic story line to follow.

I'm most interested in how Vinicius deals with this given their history.

City will not be same 100%. This is the window of opportunity we can't miss. We should be targeting league title with in next 3 season. Klopp gone Pepe gone ..

Would be interesting if this opens the door wider for Anderson over City

whoever challenges for the title next year need not fear this Arsenal side.

they are so unconvincing. i don't even want to say they are missing an x-factor because i think they are missing multiple things of a proper side to be feared much less champions to be feared.

even if they win it and the CL it wouldn't convince me

I've been watching football for over 50 year(yeah I'm old) and they are the most boring, dull and uninspiring team to ever win the league. They got lucky this year because man city, dippers, chelsea and us to an extent have been muck this season.

I think the verdict must be coming soon and Pep knows. He's wanting to be out of the limelight when it hits.

so Brasil include Neymar but NOT João Pedro. too much public pressure to take Neymar?

to make it worse Rayan, Martinelli and Endrick are going too.

    surprising

everyone has there fair share of luck (must not remember the Ferguson years well?) and bullshit var decisions go against them and for them

we have been on the end of some bollocks and last night Kai was lucky

what it shows is how shit refereeing has been since forever in this country

and we are horrible to watch but after 22 years I would take anything, even playing like stoke

Dont like Arsenal or their football - so agree with all the above.

However one thing I would say though is that all EPL teams for the most part are targeting set pieces, killing space and avoiding turnovers. So all the teams that pressed and “played football” are finding it harder to get points.

This “evolution” (sarcasm) is not a one-off and we better make damn sure we read the room and eg replace Casemiro (& Maguire) set-piece defending. Plus go the near CB at FB route etc. Physicality is back to a degree.

Can argue chicken & egg ie if Arsenal the cause but think it was going that way to a degree and props to Arsenal for executing (even if not good for EPL football in the wider context).

You’re right. Arteta and Arse have tried to win playing attractive football and failed successively. They’ve had to turn to a more pragmatic approach and as a neutral it’s putrid to watch. But as the Arsenal fan here said, whatever it takes. In general, with all the pressing, low block etc the game now has become less fun and not that exciting to watch.

Yep, the modern tactical evolution has ruined the game

It's a tedious watch, technical players passing sideways untill a space appears in a low block for a diagonal or you lose it and get countered

Even world cups are shit to watch

there is still a slim chance for science.

off the boil Everton need to beat Tottenham
    AND
off the boil West Ham need to beat on the boil Leeds

    unlikely, but you never know

    a few things:

    1. given yesterday's events, i am guessing that Max Dowman is now the youngest PL winner ever with the abolition of the 10 game minimum a while back
    2. football is funny sometimes - the same David Moyes that West Ham shamefully ran out of the club twice in arrogance is the same David Moyes they are now dependent on to save their bacon. ironic
    3. we actually have two experiments for science in play - liverpool missing out on CL after £0.5b outlay + mutiny and Tottenham going down

both are unlikely but if i only got to choose one i know which one i would select
