Lots of spin - both claiming victory as some judgements in favour of either side. Also not the main case, just City taking a few successful potshots at the foundations of the EPL case. Shows what we all know anyway - highly paid lawyers vs incompetent football body leaves plenty of room for getting off on legal technicalities. Some mud will stick but whether enough and even then what done about it remains to be seen. The article on the beeb a bit more balanced. Think we all know where this is likely headed anywho. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cq5eyvl7nggo

Good discussion in this article on the City charges and the recent decision: https://www.thelawyer.com/in-depth-who-actually-won-the-manchester-city-case/
https://www.skysports.com/football/...-latest-on-deals-signings-loans-and-contracts coincidence or possibly related to the 115 case?
our clubs are working together on this, so I'm just just dropping by to share this. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league-civil-war-man-city-court-b2626264.html The Premier League has descended into open civil war, with over half the clubs stunned by the nature of Manchester City's email following the judgment on their case against the competition's Associated Party Transactions. Some executives are particularly annoyed by threats of further legal action, and the situation has been described by numerous sources as "seriously escalating" ahead of next Thursday's meeting. City's general counsel, Simon Cliff, wrote in an email to all 19 clubs that the Premier League's 1,200-word summary of the judgment was "misleading" with "inaccuracies", while stating that City's "position is that this means that all of the APT rules are void, and have been since 2021". The Premier League's legal advice is that this is absolutely not the case, and the rules can be easily and quickly amended through forthcoming meetings, starting next Thursday. There, the clubs will discuss three potential changes to the laws. The mood is expected to be extremely tense, especially with City strongly resisting any attempt to push changes through in what they would see as a "knee-jerk" way. Cliff's email added: “Such an unwise course would be likely to lead to further legal proceedings with further legal costs. It is critical for member clubs to feel that they can have trust in their regulator.”
Loads of execs have now gone in the last 12 months. Both higher ups and mid level execs. You've to think Pep will leave now as well.
Why is insulting someone over their race worse than insulting them over their perceived lack of ability in a situation?
Huh? You can work on your ability, you cant change your race [if one wanted to]. Thats just one of many reasons that should be common sense to a human.
But you're still insulting - why is one acceptable but the other isn't? I thought hate is hate is hate and none of it should be acceptable?
Yeah the Colombian centre back in 94 that passed to a striker Alan Hansen said he should be shot for that defending, and was
three lions. yikes. Pavlidis might be the closest thing Greece has had to a proper striker/goal scorer since Gekas
Didn't watch it, but was a pretty damning write-up of Carsley tactics on the BBC. On the one hand you could argue that the Nations League which replaced friendlies is the place to try things. However on the other hand it is clear that a team (and especially a national team where you don't get time with the players) needs a fairly traditional shape and structure - especially in the middle of the pitch. Plus anyone who watched England fail recently could see that Bellingham / Foden / Kane were tripping over each other as all trying to play in the same area. This just seems to be repeating that same mistake. Sigh ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cdjenmld0p1t
He's not even first choice funnily enough, Fotis Ioannidis missed out through injury. Lots of teams were pushing for him in the summer (Sporting, Girona, Ipswich) but all offers of approx 24m were rebuffed. Was a shame he missed this match through injury
You're equating saying you suck to a player with a racist comment directed at a player. If you cannot see the difference, nothing more needs to be said. Fin.
England need a new manager. Can't believe my sucky Greece won. Didn't even watch thinking we'd get our asses handed.
racism is worse than anything else Especially when white to black people, due to you know, slavery and destroying peoples culture and lineage over a 200 year period?
