I can't recall last year, but there has to be consistency in decision now, I think VAR was introduced in 18/19(not sure). About time to get it done right.

Arsenal didn't concede a single penalty throughout the whole season - zero.

The equalizer then comes from their first penalty conceded of the whole season and they lose the game .... on penalties.

Gabriel in particular putting it over the bar is sweet given his general behaviour.

"You'll never sing that, you'll never sing thaaat, Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that" ;)

there is truth to the Gabriel thing. i find him annoying at times. maybe because he isn't really good. certainly isn't as good as he is made out to be.

    unfortunately oil money won again...

Arsenal maintain this perfect losing record in major European finals. two in each now.

they did do better than most expected in this game though in fairness

i know they were celebrating at the time but i do wonder how many of those Tottenham players are secretly salty they didn't get relegated and are far less likely to exit the club now.

some of them looked like they had checked out and were banking on that relegation free pass quite a while before safety was eventually confirmed

people often make fun of the latter because of that famous rant, but i wish them both full recoveries

I hope they do sell him. He's not worth that and Real will further their turmoil.

It’s extortionate for a players that’s done well in quite a poor team when the opposition leaves space to play in behind

I think Alex Scott has had a great season but is only worth half the price of Anderson? Seems weird to men

Ornstein saying McKenna stepping down from newly promoted Ipswich to “take a break”.

    Hopefully not a personal issue.

If not then most likely explanation is he feels time is right for a step up (will no doubt be offers mid-season / end of season) and maybe doesn’t have the energy for what will likely be another failed attempt to keep Ipswich in EPL.

Surprising but wish him all the best as have been impressed so far.

if that Anderson thing is true he's already 20% more than i thought he'd cost and a deal still hasn't been agreed.

i hope United are no where near this whatsoever.

buying him and Mat eusFernandes isn't going to suddenly catapult United into title or UCL contenders. and that's what £80m+ should be doing

also, this seems to have slipped under the radar

    https://www.skysports.com/football/...n-compensation-over-psr-breaches-in-june-2022

it does set a precedent though, so United and other clubs can (technically) argue they missed out on revenue and titles etc.

unfortunately, the powers that be have all the strength and energy for the small clubs and not the rich ones
