Best writing of the day: "No es bueno vender la piel del oso antes de cazarlo, pero este oso (DC United) parece que está más cerca de las vacaciones que de la segunda ronda de los "playoffs" de la MLS."
It's not good to sell the bear's fur before you've caught the bear, but this bear (DC United) looks closer to vacations than the second round of the playoffs.

Tampa Tribune's has a new Sunday soccer column that for some reason doesn't always post to the Internet.

Today there is a non-wire story about Rochester in MLS with quotes from Economides. Seems like the league just dropped an opportunity on Rochester after deciding Chivas could start in 2004. ... Bunch of England and SOuth America stuff too.

I think there´s more dangerous leads than being up 2-0.... but I don´t want to speak too soon.

Mike Downey´s piece in the Chicago Tribune was actually one of the best shows of support for MLS that I have ever seen from a "traditional american sports" columnist from a "traditional" sports page.

WHo could have predicted 2-0 turned out to be the most dangerous lead, but under completely unexpected circumstances?
