This is a backdoor way to buy them another week. Without coming out and saying we haven't reached a final deal yet with anyone, they can say in light of the recent developments in Rochester we want to hold off on any announcement. just a thought
I can't imagine them canning him for one bad season. They might not give him a five year contract, but I could see a 2 year easily.
