Dead Snake is played behind the defense (or did he dribble past them). Chips Harper.

4-0. That's right kids, four. nil

    Jenas with the giveaway.

Newcastle's 2-4-4 not working at this point

4-1. Bellamy beats Volz and heads it home

    Newcastle Utd 1 - 4 Fulham

The addition of Crossley in goal and Rehman in central defense has made a world of difference.

I don't believe this result. 'M' told me Fulham was a relegation candidate :)

    Except he didn't.

But I did find this quote by you after Fulham lost to Crystal Palace:

"Easy for you (then): One game don't mean jack"

Pretty amazing that Boca got 'Defender of the Month' with your scathing critique of him that game.....he musta been EXTRA-ORDINARY the rest of the month :)

Of course, I am also waiting for Everton to fall to the relegation zone...

Don't look now, there's a GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCH on the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Classic jri. Shown up to be putting words into someone's mouth so he carefully changes the subject... Defender of the month for Fulham? Well, the supposed defender of the month for the Premiership as a whole was Silvestre, which probably tells you all you need to know about how these statistics reflect who are the best players in the league.

    Thomas:

Fullham plays with Cole (or McBride) up front, with Johns or Radz acting as the right foward and Boa Morte as the left. If Johns gets hurt, Radz is the obvious choice as he can play the same function -- wide right forward, while BMB cannot. Using BMB in that situation would require a shift in tactics -- unlikely with Fullham going pretty well now.

I just saw an abbreviated version of the game (thanks to BitTorrent), and Fulham were very fortunate to have won. Newcastle had 26 shots with 20 on goal, most of the possession, and at least a dozen corners. If it wasn't for Crossley, there was no way that they could play "counter attacking" football.

Also, Shearer was definately fouled right before the first goal and the penalty claim in the first half could have easily been given.

Well it's a win. I expect that they will try and play the same way next game against Chelsea.

I finally took the trouble to check whether I predicted that Everton would be relegated. And, surprise, surprise, I didn't. Another figment of jri's furtive imagination...

When I get time, I'll find it. Hell, you even commented on it post-facto (is Karl Rove running your name now?)

I realized that after the fact. At the time I was listening to 94.9 london (it wasn't Gentleman Jim - I never rememeber somebody riding shotgun with him) and they said McBride might come in adn I got my hopes up

Relegation candidate?HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That was total domination. Sure Newcastle got their 85 chances but, Fulhams defense played well and Fulham when they attacked could of beat anyone in the world. Where has this world class play been at this year? The defense finally had a good match the attack finally scored more than 1 or 2 goals.Crossley had one of the best matches by any keeper this year he had like 10 saves and most of them were not easy saves.
