Starting this thread some hours in advance, since my wife and I are going to a dinner dance tonight. A holiday- and work-related function for me, and I won't be getting back til late. So thought I'd get things rolling now, including the news round-up... Last week, we had "Goalie Wars I", with Tim Howard and Manchester United facing off against Brad Friedel and Blackburn Rovers. In Part Deux, Brad's at it again, as Rovers face Kasey Keller and Tottenham Hotspur. Kickoff is slated for 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET-- and 2 a.m. local (Melbourne) time for me. Both teams are sitting in the lower half of the Premiership table, with Blackburn just above the relegation zone in 17th spot (11 points from 13 games), while Spurs aren't much better, 12th due to 15 points from their 13 games. TV-wise, nothing on PPV or FSW, and nothing here in Australia, either. Rovers' and Spurs' sites should have streaming audio, but only via annual pay-subscription packages. Text updates from the likes of sportinglife.com and The Beeb's soccer page will certainly be available, and may be everyone's best bets. Will do the news update once I get home from my dinner-dance commitments... sorry for the tease, folks.

Tough goal to give up. Shot came from about 7 yards beyond the penalty area but took a wicked deflection to wrong foot Keller. Looked like he should have saved it but when watching it again, that was an awkward deflection.
