Nike-Adidas Soccer Competition - AP
A Reason to be Thankful - Standard-TImes
Is this mean that Nike will fight for US soccer turf since MLS signed with Adidas or the US soccer market way too small for Nike to even care about.
Corrales to Norway, Garcia not offered
i would imagine that it means they are already at war in the u.s.
nike has the national teams and freddy
adidas has mls (and thus, also freddy)
the national team and mls deals are both large numbers
i'm glad both are focusing on growing the sport, nike with p40 and bradenton and now adidas with the "reserve league". adidas seems to see value in a foothold of league sponsorship as the sport grows. probably a friendlier "war" than elsewhere, but definitely at competition. but both have similar goals for soccer to succede. the USMNT/Freddy/MLS are all intertwined right now
