Gotta love this love: Courtesy of today's "Inside Track" in the Boston Herald: http://thetrack.bostonherald.com/insideTrack.bg "Celtics go-to-guy Walter McCarty, center, and Revs kicker cuties Luke Vercollone, l, and Jay Heaps, r, stomp it up for a grape cause - Walter's I Love Music Foundation - at Maggiano's Little Italy. (Staff photo by Matt Stone)" Am I the only one who thinks "Hmmm... it's Sam and Frodo!" Good cause, nice to see the Revs involved. The Magpie
Almost forgot, but two U.K. newspapers (tabloids however), quoted Shelbourne club officials as saying Richie Baker was being brought back for next season. Only link I could find however was from the Irish FA's official web site: http://www.fai.ie/article.asp?hlid=...rne+claim+eircom+League+Title&navlid=&sublid=
Ah thanks. I forgot that Vercollone is from the area, I knew Heaps was. Still... could we get a little higher profile guys out there in the public sometimes. Just seems to me that we see these two or these types in these sorts of things. Absolutely great job by REvs PR getting them there in the first place, or on magazine covers, but I get the sense of 'Come see our Scrubs!'
Any Revs ladies want to tell me if I'm missing the mark on these two guy's 'appeal?' Is that what's going on here?
I dunno, it always seemed like Twellman was the teen heartthrob candidate. Not for me, though; the one I married notwithstanding, blonds don't do it for me, and I like my men like I like my coffee--more than a foot taller than I am.
Twellman played in an exhibition on Saturday night that ended 11-11 . Anyone seen a game report or anything on it? These articles mentioned his name: http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/other_sports/article/0,1426,MCA_1757_3323314,00.html http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/other_sports/article/0,1426,MCA_1757_3344462,00.html
Saw this little tidbit on ESPNsoccernet. After a small write-up and quote regarding Dempsey's European training and first cap with the Nats, there's an interesting little speculation about where Noonan might train for a couple weeks.
This is great news for everyone concerned. Good to see that MLS is helping foster some of this 'trans-Atlantic' training. It will help our guys get better, it will better prepare our young players to compete at that level and not be awestruck or unawares of what to expect when they reach the national level and have to compete in Europe. Hope to see a lot of this going on.
I was wondering what you meant when I read this, but when I look at the picture...spot on without any special effects even!!
It's not speculation, he is training with Chelsea, and this was reported at the end of last week. Just FYI.
Yeah and please attribute the article to the right source. It's on Soccernet but it's a USSoccerUK article. For all that's worth.
T'is all good. Just figured it'd be worth noting what the authorship was, for reasons I'll leave unsaid.
The author was Aris Ohanessian of USSOCCERUK.COM, who is a pretty respectable writer with a good reputation, and should not see it sullied by perceived guilt by association. The Magpie
I wont get into it, and you're right about Aris but there wasn't much in that article that wasn't already reported somewhere else. That's all.
