"Never turn your back on a Bulgarian" : A Poli Sci professor (and WWII vet) of mine back in college. LA Times: "A lack of respect for referees was the subject of some angry comments from Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder, president of the German soccer federation (DFB). "The current situation in the Bundesliga is no longer acceptable," he said in Berlin. "It cannot be tolerated that every refereeing decision is heavily discussed and criticized."" I've seen a few Bundelsiga games this season and the level of dissent they are complaining about is not near what happens in MLS regularly, from what I've seen.
definately agreed, I've said it many times before and I'll say it again, dissent in MLS is way out of hand.
I know I should be posting this somewhere else but what is the official time for this? 3pm est? ESPN or ESPN2? Gracias in advance.
Definitely noon Cali time, and believe it or not, I will be at a pointyball game for teh first time in years, as I have friends in town for the weekend who insist on seeing the '9ers play my poor Chargers. I couldn't convince them that the US v. Salvador matchup outweighed Garcia v. Seau in terms of stature. Thank god they're old friends and I haven't seen them in a long while so we should have something to talk about during all the pathetically frustrating "timeouts in the action". My VCR will be rarin' to go.
