    From the Dallas paper.
Frisco City Manager George Purefoy said the city would know within three
to four weeks "whether the project will make or not."

And then there will be countless months of local politics for and against the stadium.

"Mr. Purefoy (Frisco City Mgr) said that several sites in Frisco had been considered for the stadium. No cost estimates have been completed for a project in Frisco, but estimates for a stadium, practice fields, parking and roads in McKinney were about $50 million."

$50 million sounds like a pretty good deal. If MLS / Hunt goes halves with the city, MLS could get this stadium for about the same price as Crew stadium.

Hopefully, they would the majority of the revenue control.

Go Frisco. I always liked those guys better than McKinney anyhow.

So this U20 tournament is South Carolina, to my knowledge SC failed in their attempt to leave the Union, what does Convey need with a passport?

    Rules are rules.

(I think this one is in place to prevent any unfair advantage for host nations)

One thing that bugs me about the San Francisco stadium...why aren't they building it in San Jose????? Frisco really isn't close to SJ and San Jose is like the 11th biggest city in the country. Actually bigger than SF. I'd love to see SF build a stadium, call them Bay Area something or another, let the girls and and a new expansion team play there. Then let the uakes build a new stadium in San Jose. And if they are worried that SJ won't bring enough people then change the name to the San Francsico Earthuakes, it would be unfair for the city to have it host a professional team and then let their neighbors from the south have all the name recognition

Be Gentle? To the ScumQuakes for MOVING????

I think he has a RIGHT to be outraged over this!

I'm outraged too! Let's be fair to the loyal ScumQuake Fans who've followed their team thru thick and thin, now moving North... I wouldn't blame them if they don't take their support to the relocated team....

    Be gentle, bahhhhh!

Did you have to spell out? I think we could have milked this one for a while...

I still call "SF" Frisco, as all good mockers of things California should.

I really do think a stadium would look lovely looking out on McCovey Cove. Maybe with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the luxury boxes? It would truly be a home away from home for the Burn.

Thank you to all. I needed a good laugh this morning, and I found the perfect forum for it.

I can just picture AppooOnU's brain going (ala Homer Simpson) "clap-clap..bravo!" after that tirade. Wow, the 21st century education at its best, right there...
