35' Robben wins a corner off Radzinski, and he takes it short. After some almost Keystone Cops stuff at the back for Fulham, they finally get it out, and its off Terry for a throw.
39' Gallas almost dribbles past Volz, but Volz just gets it back. Fulham haven't had anything on goal yet, and nothing around the goal for a good 35 minutes. Its a series of throws/FKs on the left now.
40' looks like a handball on a blistering Lampard shot. On a replay, it should definitely be a penalty. Corner is poor, and Eidur takes down Radzinski to try and get the ball.
41' Robben almost gets away, but can't quite do it. Fulham fans excited over something incomprehensible as Gallas plays it back to Terry. Bocanegra takes out Eidur with some feeling.
43' I can hear chants of "Jose Mourinho" Ferreira with a deep throw, and it comes to Smertin, but his shot just rose above the bar as it neared the goal. If we were a bit sharper with our shooting, we'd be 2 up at least. Andy Cole has an unbalanced "effort" that almost goes for a throw.
45' Volz almost plays in Gudjohnsen, but Crossley just gets it out of touch. Lamaprd gets a yellow for diving in the box. Rennie blows. It was NOT a dive. Volz treads on his toe. Why the hell can't we have our own Mike Riley? That's TWO clear penalties we didn't get, and instead Lampard has a yellow? Screw Rennie. Half time.
Frankie could have had an hat trick. negatives: Gallas looking a little awkward at LB Eidur should have scored. Smertin should have scored, he had more time than he realised. We are in control of this one. Robben seems to have total freedom out there. Want to see a little more from Duff to be honest. All in all, we are making a tough game look easy.
Yeah, we definitely look like we're the home side, but I hope those penalty decisions/cards don't come back to bite us. That's twice now we've gotten cards in tight games instead of penalties - Drogba, anyone? That yellow was rescinded, and this one should be as well. A bit tough to run when the defender has his foot on yours.
Dead solid first half from the lads, the dominating team without a doubt. Makelele and Carvalho need a bit of a word from the gaffer though about their lax passing, i've yet to see Gudjohnson win a header from a keepers hoof up the field this season, today being no exception - why, oh why do we persist with that god aweful tactic? Roll the bloody ball out to one of the full backs! At least we'll keep possession that way. Fantastic effort from Lampard. Gudjohnson and Smertin unlucky with efforts from range. We're definitely the class team out there, controlling the game and keeping them lockup and pushed back, continually worrying about their defense. Their right side is under constant threat and sooner or later either Robben, Duff or Gudjohnson is going to bang one in from there - however, and this is a very big however, as long as it remains only a single goal lead....... We need to kill this game off right quick in the second half - they'll fold like a deck chair if we do and we could see another 4 goal feast.
Robben stayed down for a while after Volz elbowed him. Dutch vs. German. Cech showing that he likes to showboat, as we almost give up a free shot.
