Well we'll see if the Canadians can run up the score on the Reggae Girlz in about another 15 minutes or so.

Hopefully we will see the start of the match. The Raptors basketball game is running a little long. It should be over soon...

I haven't seen the commercial for the Spiroli yet. Lot of Dent King commercials though.

Canada in all red. Leblanc in goal. 4-3-3. Hooper, Sinclar, and Burtini up top. Canada going left to right.

First goal attempt of the night....Hooper tried to head it in but I do think the cross misses her.

3' and a card is yellowed to Wilson of Jamaica. Looks like a tackle from behind at midfield. Stretcher is coming out. Just seconds ago Canada had a dangerous chance in front of the net...lot of scrambling but Jamaica able to clear.

6' looks like Canada is gonna make a sub for the injured player. It looks like Amy Walsh will be subbed in for Falconer??????

I thought that the Jamaican player got the card? It was a Canadian player who was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Canada has had a couple of very good scoring chances, but hit their shots right at the keeper both times, missing rebounds also..

    Amy Walsh in for Moscato.

7th minute and Jamaica stuffs two Canada shots...Sinclair first then rebounded off the keeper and I think Hooper was there too with the shot...but cleared out by Canada.

    10th minute

Corner kick by Burtini from right side, chipped back into the middle, goes out to right side, where a player hits it into the side of the net for a goal kick.

Goal - Canada (in 14th minute)

Sinclair, of course... Hooper pass in to Sinclair, who touches it between 2 defenders and shoots it past the keeper...

The play started with a cross from right side by Lang, and it was misplayed in the box by defenders, and Hooper pounced on it.

Sinclair makes it 1-0 Canada...splits two defenders in the area and takes a shot from about the PK spot and to the right of the keeper.

Shot from right side by Jamaica is a bit wide left.

Don't know if LeBlanc could have gotten to it if it had been on goal.

Leblanc has punted a couple of balls a very long way already. Does she usually kick them that far?

Hooper makes it 2-0...cross in from Boyd on the near side....Hooper at the top of the six heads it in to the far post.

    20th minute.

    2-0 Canada

The Jamaican keeper could have easily gotten to the cross, but she stayed within 3 feet of the goal line and didn't have a chance of stopping Hooper's shot. And her defence didn't help her at all. If Hooper hadn't been there, Lang would have scored.

    32nd minute

Jamaica #10 had a great chance to score from the right side, got LeBlanc to come off her line and then chipped the ball too high - over the cross bar.

39th minute - Hooper rockets a left footed shot over the cross bar...

Jamaica doesn't look like it is trying any sort of bunker defense. But Canada definitely has the upper hand...

    3-0 Canada (make that 4-0!)

42nd minute - Walsh pulls a 'wall-pass' play with Hooper and cooly slots a ground shot to the right of the oncoming keeper...

A minute or so later, Jamaica picks up another yellow card, tripping Chapman a bit outside the top of the box.

And Kara Lang scores on the free kick to make it 4-0! She rockets a shot into the top left corner of the goal. Great shot!!!! (45th minute.)

The Canadian defense looks a bit shaky at times, but LeBlanc looks a bit more solid than McLeod.

Pretty give and go on Walsh's goal. Hoops had to really stretch to send Walsh through, but she did and Walsh slotted that one in nicely.

Canada needs to play the ball more on the ground. More give and goes would be nice. Fewer crosses into the middle where the keeper can grab it.

The Jamaican keeper's been pretty solid. Jamiaca's been playing better defense than Haiti. Usually double teaming Hooper.

46th minute - Hooper almost scores again, as poor defensive clearance by Jamaica allows her a free shot - but it's right at the keeper.

51st minute shot by Sinclair deflected wide right by the keeper. The corner kick is headed wide right.

    52nd & 53rd minutes...

Good chance for Timko on pass by Lang but she waits too long and its Michelle's shot is blocked.

Two more chances within the next minute are deflected by the keeper or blocked by defenders.

    5-0 Canada

    57th minute

Free kick by Burtini is headed in by #11, as the defenders fail to mark her.

Less than a minute later another free kick by Burtini drops into the box and is hit into the ground, almost bouncing up over the keeper at the goal line.

60th minute - almost another goal off a corner kick, but ball bounces up to the keeper again.

There have been a lot of fouls in the game, and a number of players again ended up down on the ground. I wonder how hard the turf is...

    HOLY CRAP!!!

Lang's goal was NICE!!! She shot that thing from the parking lot and was able to get it between the outstretched arms of the keeper and just right below the crossbar. Really nice!

    6-0 Canada 64th minute

Lang cranks off another great shot, as she gets the ball back after losing it just seconds earlier. LeBlanc had punted the ball 3/4 the length of the field to start things off...

Another Jamaican leaves the field of play on a stretcher. I think that it was #9, for the third time.

Why is Pellerud allowing his star players to stay on the pitch? The game isn't in doubt, and someone could get hurt if the Jamaicans get frustrated...

    Another goal

7-0, as Sinclair gets an easy goal on a ground shot off a header pass from (I think) #19.

I think that the Jamaicans are really getting fatigued out there - their play has gotten sloppier, and Canada is getting chance after chance...

    ***

Goal by Lang, a hat trick, as she is give a short cross right at the top of the keepers box and all she had to do was toe-poke it in... 8-0 now
