12th minute and not much really going on in this match. The Haitians are dressed up like they are going to climb Everest.

The scoreline is nil-nil and play is pretty damn sloppy.

Looks to be a sellout once again in Victoria, BC.

    Holy crap...

Waning minutes of the second half and the Haitian GK is out of the match. She was outside her 18 and a Costa Rican player was charging hard and lept in the air and one of her knees...I believe the right now just crashed into the face of the Haitian GK...she looked real bad. They have stretchered her off.

And seconds ago the CR GK had a wicked collision in the box but she is now up.

In the sloppy first half it is 0-0. CR seems to be the somewhat better team in this match. But overall just a bad match to watch.

Good God someone call a vet! These baby seals need to be put out of their misery.
That foul on the keeper was pretty vicious. Was there a card? I was flipping channels and didn't see.

the stretcher came out like what? 5 times already?
This is what happens when teams that suck play eachother. Sloppy careless play and people get hurt. Unfortunately we will be playing either Haiti or Costa Rica. Right?

Jesus, didn't Haiti beat Jamaica in qualifying? And now the Ticas are struggling to show any signs of being better than the Haitians? Man alive, I wouldn't mind getting something bordering on a game before we play Mexico for a World Cup spot.

That being said I probably just jinxed us and we'll struggle against either JA or CR, but three easy wins aren't going to do us too much good.

Thanks for the updates. Is this on Fox Sports World?

    cheers,

    Exactly.

I didn't see a card on the player that kneed the Haitian GK.

I just got back from buying cat food and in the 68th minute the score is 2-0 Costa Rica is up.

Megan Cruz is now up 3-0. Haitian GK way off her line and leaves an open net...Cruz ran onto a ball looped over the defenders.

    Sloppy - Dangerously So

I've never seen a college or high school game where the play was so dangerously sloppy. The number of players taken down in collisions or very bad slide tackles has reached double digits...

There probably should have been red cards on both of the keepers injured - especially the knee to the head by the Costa Rican forward...

I wonder if the cold weather has something to do with it...

    87th minute score

Megan Chavez scores another goal, her 4th of the tournament, on a great pass by Barrantes(?)

And she only came into the game after the half.

    5-0 Costa Rica

Another goal! A corner kick is headed at the goal, the keeper leaps up and grabs the ball, but tips it back and hits it into the goal...

    The game finally ends...

5-0 Costa Rica. There were 5 minutes of added time in the first half, and 3 in the second - there actually could have been more, what with all of the players going down on the turf.

Well, this was an interesting match to watch. First of all, let's get Megan Chavez into the WUSA. Second of all, the Haitian goalkeeper should have received a red card for going after the Costa Rican player outside of the box and after the whistle had blown. The Costa Rican player, I think it was Castro, should have received a yellow for playing the ball after the ball had whistled. That was a great quick free kick to set up one of those goals. Still all in all, a very sloppy match.
