Just cutting and pasting my own plays from a different site: Saturday: Uralan Elista (0) Torpedo Moscow (+1/4) 2@ 1.93 (Gamebookers) With last weekend's 2-0 victory over Alaniya, Torpedo continue to be one of the hottest teams in the league. Since the break, and especially lately, they've been scoring goals at a very high rate. Defensively, while they've had some troubles with the league's top teams, they've had little problems containing lesser Russian teams like Alaniya and this weeks opponent, Uralan. Uralan seem to be safe from relegation, especially considering that for they should get some points from their last two matches (Rotor away and Anzhi at home). This is not a must win for them and I can't see them doing better than a draw vs Torpedo with the way they're playing now. Sunday: Charlton (0) Sunderland (+1/4) 1@1.83 (gamebookers) It's true that Charlton have had poor results in league matches at home, winning one and losing four. But those four losses have come against Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Totttenham. And it must be noted that their most recent home match was a solid win vs. Middlesbrough. So I don't put much relevance on their home record for this match against lowly Sunderland. Sunderland are down to their third 'keeper and last week lost midfield general Claudio Reyna for the rest of the season due to ligament damage. Chris Powell and Paul Konchesky are back in the line-up for Charlton who should be able to handle Sunderland. Of course it must be mentioned that overall Charlton have certainly not been very good this year. With that in mind I'll take a (0) asian handicap to protect against the possibility of a draw. Sunday: Fulham - Arsenal 2@1.83 (canbet) The losing streak for Arsenal has to stop eventually, and this looks like a good place. In Fulham they get an opponent who also must contend with "European fatigue". Fulham are coming off a surprisingly easy midweek victory away to Dinamo Zagreb. That was a better result than Arsenal had in Germany, but in Borussia Dortmund Arsenal had a much more difficult task. Arsenal really haven't played that terribly during their last four matches. They simply haven't gotten any breaks whatsoever. Perhaps the best reason to take Arsenal here is their depth. Both sides have injuries to contend with. Some of names for Fulham are striker Facundo Sava, forward Louis Saha and midfielder Sean Davis. There's also concern about the fitness of Martin Djetou and Steve Marlet. Though Dennis Bergkamp sould be ready perhaps to start, Arsenal will be without their share of big names such as Patrick Vieira, Martin Keown, Ray Parlour and Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The difference for Arsene Wenger is with Arsenal's depth he always has some world-class footballer ready to fill in when someone goes down. Fulham doesn't have that luxury. Look for Arsenal to take out some frustration here. Sunday: Blackburn - Aston Villa 2@4.50 (bet365) This is an upset shot worth taking. Blackburn have had two huge matches in the last week, their remarkable away win at Arsenal and their UEFA Cup match midweek in which they were unlucky not to get at least a point. Fatigue factors aside, they are due for a let down I think in this match against less glamorous Aston Villa. Well-rested Villa are coming off a good showing in which they came close to taking all three points at Old Trafford. For this match they should get back central defender Ronny Johnsen and the talented Turkish international central defender Alpay. Striker Darius Vassell who also missed the Manchester United match, is questionable with a sore foot. If he can play and be effective this price looks even better. For Blackburn Henning Berg's fitness is a question as he's suffering from Achilles tendon problems. I like this price as in terms of sheer talent I don't see much of difference between these squads.
