I mean that’s tough. He didn’t have any passing options, had a defender charging him, and was facing Neuer. He did well there
Reyna is really good off the ball. Sees Bellingham do brilliantly to win it and immediately find open space, his cross earns a corner
I agree that his options were limited. But the one option he didn't take was to blast the hell out of the ball. He tries to finesse everything, even when power is what is called for. Looks like Brandt about to come on. Reyna may be the sub.
If you were to ask me who the better player was between Puli and Sancho, I’d say it’s Pulisic and it’s not particularly close. that answer would have been flipped a year and a half ago
Looks like they’re just bringing in fresh legs/energy for Reyna and Reus. Hopefully it works. And then just hope Sancho’s class pulls through
Reus has been passing well in the middle. It’s not a bad decision IMO. And You get more pace on the pitch by taking Reyna off
i dont think the pace thing is true and you lose the telepathic connection on the counter with haaland, which still seems like bvbs most likely way of scoring
he’s a strider and eats up a ton of space fast, but I think Hazard and Brandt give you a little bit more short area burst
Yea I blame Lampard for that, mostly. Football players get muscle injuries, and a hip injury is a bit random. but the hamstring is on Lampard
at the end of the day reyna is better than brandt and reus and on top of that has an unbelievable connection with your best goalscorer, it was a dumb decision to take him out when you had finally gotten the midfield right with bellingham
Unfortunately for BVB, when you replace Reyna with Brandt, you might get a better dribbler, you lose out in passing...that was a terrible passer from either Brandt or Reus, and Reyna would have done much better with it from that position
