Worried about some of the players being tired, but at least Mata and others have gotten some rest.

Sucks Drogba is out, he's usually good for at least a brace against Arse.

I wonder what Boas has in mind for this one. We play pretty open these days , hopefully Gervinho and Walcott dont capitalize on that with their speed.

They dont fancy us on the Arsenal board ,they dont rate AVB and we arnt so crash hot anymore?

Hoping Mata shows them what they missed out on .

Only Essien and Hilario out on injury/sickness.
And Ramires is back to full health.

Is how I think we'll line up. We only really need to contain RvP and Cole will handle Walcott as usual.

I think we are most likely to see this lineup. Mikel get the start in the midfeild to break up Arsenals speedy attack and to throw a wrench in things. I agree that we will see Ramires in this game but I cannot see him going 70+ in his first game back so it most likely he is used as a sub for Meireles. The front three are an obvious choice IMO. Same with the back 4. It is really only the midefield I have question marks nowadays for big league matches.

Why so early? 4:30am is a killer. This should be a feature game later in the day or early evening.

Btw, who is our backup keeper for this match? Turnbull is suspended and Hilario is ill.............

    Aha. Thank you.

I'd still rather Ivanovic start at RB in this game, but I don't think that AVB will make that change.

Add insult to injury we have to listen to Tommy Smyth bright and early.

Backup keepers will be Rhys Taylor and Jamal Blackman per the Chelsea website.

I think we will play @blueisthecolor's I just dont think Bosingwa is good enough, I think we need Brana at RB and Alex in the CB, I think the rest is fine, maybe meireles for mikel but either way they will do ok. If we start the game like last weekend (when we had 11 men) I fear we will end up doing a Man Utd vs Citeh

Bosingwa will start. Neither of the Brazilian defenders have done anything to win a place in the side, especially not in a vital match like this. Ivanovic almost has to start next to JT, and while Bosingwa isn't anyone's favorite player his pace is necessary against the likes of Walcott and Gervinho.

I will not be pleased to see Meireles in midfield, unless Ramires simply isn't fit to go 90 mins. We need Mikel's positional discipline, size and strength. Meireles is a nice player, but he has absolutely no business playing in the holding role unless it's against vastly inferior opposition (*cue jokes about le Arse*).

Dreading this match. Just don't see how we can win. Will be very hard to deal with Gervinho and RVP. Even Walcott may give Cole problems. Our attack also looked impotent in the first half against QPR and I am afraid this will be repeated.

Would be delighted with a draw here.

(I am serious, if not rational.)

Sheeeeesh, so much negativity. Forget their front line - may I remind you all that Torres will today face up to the mighty (mighty slow) Per Mertesacker?

we also have to remember that Szczęsny , allowed too many goals compared to Cech.
