Good idea or no? My son wants to get one (or another drum). Figured I would ask about y'alls feelings towards them before I do.
I don't mean any offense to you and your kid, Flagg. Matter of fact I've got a small bongo drum that needs black/yellow paint work. Once it's done he's more than welcome to use it at the matches if he wants. Just the sound of those horns at CCS, really need to be sent out to pasture.
they sound like some kind of moose mating call, not something that belongs at CCS. I guess it'd only make sense if TFC fans had them
Just in case one more vote helps, I say no to horn, yes to drum. Plus, I think kids enjoy beating things infinitely more than blowing hot air into horns. And, you get the added benefit of not having to know that everyone else is glaring at you back for being a bad parent
I'm serious. If the rest of the league wants to call us "Cowtown" then I suggest that we deafen them with cowbells. Give every little pissant that's had one of those horns a cowbell and let them go to town.
That is the youth in question in this thread (flagg24's son). Maybe that's why he needs to get his son his own drum so we'll have more sound. Then you guys can practice up being in synch at the tailgates
That was my son, like KK said. He loves pounding on that thing, but I get embarassed when he asks, cuz I don't know for sure if he's intruding or not. He loves it though, and I appreciate it when he gets to bang the hell out of it.
Give the kid his horn. Needs practice in getting a rhythm though, so it's high time for Papa Flagg to put up with a practice drum at home.
I think it is okay if he comes up and plays during half time, but I got a smidge tired of it in the second half. I was very worried I was going to hit his hands because he kept reaching around the drum while I was trying to play.
Then just tell him how it is. The kid seemed old enough to understand that if you put your hands in the way, they may get hit. Fair enough.
