everyone who has been watching british TV recently or has ever seen VH1 in the UK will have heard of the insane amount of 100 greatest programs on. Well heres a web version for the beutiful game
I want your top 10 players of all time, This can be based on impact (ie a player who makes a club great single handedly), skill (pele nuff said), achievements (Kahn for getting germany to WC 2002 final). There are many ways to define the worlds greatest player,
this post will be going up accross the boards.
I want your top 10 on a private message, when the votes are in i will post every player who has been voted for and there tally's after the 100 list has gone up.
    Heres mine

    1. Diego Maradona
    2. Pele
    3. Franz Beckenbauer
    4. Bobby Moore
    5. Marco Van Basten
    6. Johan Cruyff
    7. Alan Shearer
    8. Brad Friedel
    9. Joe Harvey (Newcastle captain in the 50's)
    10.Eric Cantona

Brad Friedel is in there because he showed there were good players in the USA. cantona made an impact in the EPL to get in here, Joe Harvey is a legend my grandfather talks about all the time.

That's kind of a weak reason to put Friedel in there. No way he's in the top 10 of all time.

Like i said, everybody has there views on who is the greatest, friedel has been outstanding this season and pulled off some amazing saves (most not recognised as he play's for Blackburn). He deserves recognition and in my view he made the sort of impact that makes me think of him as a great.

Votes will get the player number 1 and at the minute its really close with 6 votes in

you want the ten best players of all time?

well you have to put Pele on there. Also LAndon Donovan because girls scream when he takes his shirt off. Clint Mathis because he scored a great goal in the world cup but more importantly he had a mo-hawk. Lothar Matthaus because he played for Bayern Munich and the Metrostars at the same time, Deon Sanders because he played for the Reds and the Falcons at the same time and most people don't know this but he was also Toluca's keeper for 3 season in the mid 90's. I'll also put Mike Segroves on my list too because he makes people laugh and that's got to count for something. George Weah because if I don't put someone from Liberya then I'll look like I don't know what I'm talking about. I'll put Martin Gore of Depeche Mode in there too because he supports Arsenal. Is that ten?

it aint 10 but it will do and so far george weah has only 1 vote (you) so you dont look like an idiot.
There will be a few surpises when this list comes out, 47 players have votes so far.

First, what's this doing on the MLS board?

Second, geordieboy, it just occurs to me now that you've a yellow card.

    That makes me happy.

its on the MLS board to get the attention of the MLS fans, afterall they deserve an opinion in this poll and they will probably bring in some of the great US players which us eurosnobs ignore

Jesus christ Geordieboy. Did you start this in every forum??? It has nothing to do with MLS and it should just be in The Beautiful Game where it belongs. You have it in there already, don't bring it here. Where are the mods?
