[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3bWrF_GkbQ"]YouTube - man utd v arsenal fa cup semi final replay 1999[/ame] I still remember watching this match on tape delay with a class mate from law school, another United fan. So much happened in this match: SAF starting Solskaer and Sherringham to give Cole and Yorke a rest Beckham's superb goal that got eclipsed by the second. United dominating play Marc Overmars coming on and turning the momentum in Arsenal's favor in the second half Bergkamp's equalizer off Stam's knee Anelka's goal waved off for offsides as happened to United in the first match Keane gets sent off Phil Neville's inexplicable tackle on Parlour for the penalty and Schmichel's subsequent save Schmichel injures himself saving another Bergkamp shot Giggs' winner the crowd on the field after the goal and as the game ends. Still one of the very best matches I have ever seen and when I truly became a United fan for life.
It's my brother's birthday today. How's that relevent? Because I missed the first 90 minutes of that game as I was at a restaurant with him and my parents. Still a top match though.
I never grow tired of watching that goal... I heard a story last week on TalkSport speculating that United may retire the Number 11 kit after Giggs hangs up his boots.
