    Sporting's list of invitees for Thursday's game in Belgrade:

    Guarda-redes: Tiago e Nélson;
    Defesas: César Prates, Rui Jorge, Beto, Contreras, Quiroga e Hugo;
    Médios: Rui Bento, Paulo Bento, Carlos Martins Pedro Barbosa, Toñito, Ricardo Quaresma, Ricardo Fernandes e Danny;
    Avançados: Kutuzov, Cristiano Ronaldo e Niculae

    Sporting's backs are against the wall in this one, as it trails Belgrade 4-2 with a seemingly insurmountable four-goal away deficit to overcome.

    SCP is down 1-3 not 4-2 and need to win 0-3 in order to advance.

    Sporting has just scored their second goal in the 54th minute. If they can get one more goal they might just pull this miracle off!!

    Sporting is in the lead 2-0

    2-0 Sporting at 73’ on goals by Tonito and Kutuzov.

    Sporting desperately needs another goal, as the teams are tied in the aggregate, but Partizan would take the tiebreaker with three away goals.

    It could be over now.

    77' GOLO DO PARTIZAN (1-2, Delibasic). Cruzamento perfeito de Cakar, da esquerda, e Delibasic sozinho para o cabeceamento forte, sem hipóteses para Nélson.

    Na…na…na…na…. Na…na…na…na….

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    Contreras from TOnito

    GOLO DO SPORTING (1-3, Contreras). Grande jogada! Paulo Bento faz excelente abertura para Toñito, que entra pela direita e cruza rasteiro na direcção de Contreras. Foi só empurrar, apesar de o chileno o ter feito com alguma força, arriscando-se a atirar por cima... Eliminatória empatada!

    On to overtime. Two 15-minute halves.

    Niculae nearly put the game away, but his shot from outside of the area hit the left post.

    Pvasco,

    It is admirable that you as a Benfica fan are rooting for Sporting.

    I give you credit for that. I guess you are one of the few Portuguese fans who grasp the larger picture – success by Portuguese teams in European tournaments directly benefits all Portuguese sides.

    Comments from MaisFutebol on overtime:

    101'

    Cartão amarelo a Stojanoski (Partizan).

    98'

    O Sporting continua a dominar, mas raramente cria perigo. Há maior calculismo neste jogo, agora.

    97'

    Substituição no Partizan. Sai Delibasic (lesionado), entra Zivkovic.

    96'

    Delibasic está caído no relvado, Tello atira para fora a fim de lhe ser prestada assistência médica.

    Partizan has scored to make it 3-2.

    There are 15 minutes of overtime left.

    We NEED another goal.

    Near hit for Partizan:

    112' Becanovic quase empata o jogo, com fortíssimo pontapé de pé esquerdo. Sai por cima, a rasar a barra de Nélson.

    If Sporting can score another goal, then it would advance.

    Partizan ties the game at 3-3.

    Sporting will be eliminated.

    Very sad, but a valiant effort nevertheless. Hopefully, this will inspire the team in advance of the pending additions of Jardel and JVP.

    Now Sporting needs to focus on the SuperLiga!! This shows me that with Jardel and JVP coming back sporting will come out strong after the break in the league!

    The other encouraging aspect of the game is that two of the kids – Ronaldo and Carlos Martins – set up two fo the goals. Now, Sporting needs to integrate JVP and Jardel back into the fold, which should obviously help with the scoring load, as well as taking some of the pressure off the Sporting defense.

    well, we gave it our best, but our best was just not good enough. I just had wished that they won the game, as opposed to tying, in order to boost Portugal's ratings in UEFA...we are slowly but surely going downhill.

    Nothing of the sorts, although I do realize it helps Portuguese futebol. All I said is come on guys. All this talk about making UEafe and Champions league and now zero to show for it. Partizan???? Are you serious? This must be embarrasing for you guys.

    If you played your best against Partizan and lost decisively then you my Sporting friends are in deeper merda than I thought. The only plus out of this is that you don't have to travel and play outside the Superliga schedule.
