Leeds lead 1-0. Error from Friedel, he couldn`t hold on to a shot and Johnson followed up to score.

As great as last season was for Brad and Rovers; this one is starting out terrible.

With all the crap going on at Leeds, you would have thought this would have been a good chance for a result.

Blackburn is looking really bad this year. The defense really sucks, espicially Amoruso. What a waste of money.

I'd had high hopes for Blackburn this year.

I was hoping that they could continue their good form against quality sides from last year while doing better against the bottom dwellers.

However, they have really done poorly. The defense is worse than last year (if possible) and Brad isn't quite Superman right now.

The defense is just awful. Replacing Berg with Amoruso was a terrible move.

I was worried when he decided to take so much time off and skip all USA matches.. Rest is good but too much can be bad.. (perhaps)

Sounds like Friedel is acting a little more like Clark Kent and little less like Superman ...

Maybe with that phony accent he's having trouble being understood by his defenders.

With people ragging on Amoruso,I should point out that he didn't play in this game.

And the first goal from Johnson ,upon watching the highlight show, qualifies as a howler by Brad.

How dare you blame the great god friedel for anything, it was obviously Amoruso's fault for not playing!

I feel sorry for Friedel. He has to do more than normal 'keepers because of Blackburn's lack of defence and I know his body has to be feeling some of the effects. Rovers need a guy like Bocanegra who can really soldify their crappy backline.

I don't necessarily think this is true. I don't think Friedel is having to work any harder than the rest of the keepers in the EPL. Sure, his backline isn't performing that great, but at the same time, neither is he. I read a report of Souness talking about how Friedel had a great year last year, but Rovers couldn't 'buy' a cleansheet this year. It is just too easy to place all the blame on the new guy. Big Brad has to take his load too. He's just not playing up to the level he had last year, which is a nearly impossible task considering.

Here is a link to that story:

Maybe he took too much time off. Maybe his body is just wearing down. Maybe he's just not playing well right now. Whatever it is, something is definitely not right in the world of Superman.
