A reminder that it is being shown on ESPN2 today.

I may follow it on-line since I'll be working very late tonight and probably won't get a chance to watch it for a day or two...

I think i may keep a glance of this thread just to see how the result will efect newcastle. Looks like it will be a good match now that both teams have somthing to play for.

Hopefully feyenoord will win so that they would already have qualified next week and they wont punt out a strong team against Newcastle.

Sorry, bud, 1-0 already. Di Vaio scores in the 4th minute. Think Newcastle fans had better worry your team about winning their own match before worrying about this one.

A good result and some good play as well.

Juve won the group, with the other three fighting it out for second. This should make the trip to Kiev all the easier.

Juve will have some good competition in the next round, but I can see them making it to the quarter-finals without a problem.

I think "without a problem" is a pretty bold statement. IIRC, the next round spans the holiday break - a long period of time. Form can change vastly between now and the end of this phase, and of course, much depends on the draw. A few years ago, I would've agreed with you wholeheartedly, but given Italian teams' performances in recent years, I'll just stick with being "cautiously optimistic".

    Group E

    Juventus 12
    Kiev 7
    Newcastle 6
    Feyernoord 5

Juve are through, and after Saying nothing but bad things about Juve scince the draw was made it seems i must humble myself and cheer for them next week in order for newcastle to advance to the next round. (presuming Newcastle Beat Feyenoord. but that result is not in question as we will destroy them.)
I just prey that Juve dont do a Man Utd and send the reserves over to Kiev.

Is it next week or the week after that the last games in the group are played?

Must not be next week because Serie A is recovering the first week of league games next Wednesday.

I have to say, I thought Newcastle was dead and buried after they went 1-0 down to Dynamo, but sounds like that old "fighting spirit" typical of English teams saw them through. Unfortunately for you, Juve will most certainly not field a full-strength team in the Ukraine. The match falls straight between Juventus-Milan (Nov 10) and the Turin derby (Nov 17). But you never know.

Even half a team will surfice aslong as there is atleast some decent player over there the job should be easy.

Newcastle were last seasons come back kings in the premier league. In 14 games we went behind and ended up winning, which is what got us into Europe in the first place so for us folk on Tyneside it was not such a shock.
