Preston take on Division leaders Portsmouth http://soccernet.espn.go.com/soccernet/preview?matchID=49756&leagueCup=ENG.2 In case you missed it, Soccernet had some nice words for Eddie in his last match: http://www.soccernet.com/england/2002/20021026/reports/49747_full.html
I believe the game was delayed until 3PM because of a traffic accident. BBC's text updates: http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport/hi/english/static/football/statistics/teams/p/preston/live_hi.stm
Portsmouth vs Preston Lewis starts....at forward...based on the planetfootball ticker? No Healy and I don't know the other PNE strikers. God help Preston if they are counting on Eddie to score. I'm sure I'll then jinx him into scoring but memories of Eddie vs. Costa Rica haunt my mind.
Re: Portsmouth vs Preston To be fair he'd been riding the pine at Fulham, and hadn't played a competitive match in ages. You can't judge a player based on that form. Look at how good he did during the Gold Cup when he finally got a run of 1st team football. He had a pretty good world cup and by all accounts is doing quite well for Preston.
