That PBP thread is getting huge.

Goals by Wagner in the 5th minute, Parlow somewhere in there in the first half, and Mac nailed one in stoppage time.

Mexico GK should get POTM as well as Lilly who put in a great effort since the opening whistle. Molina made some real good saves for Mexico. Otherwise it woulda been a mauling.

I'm sounding like a broken record...

But I think a scrappy Panama team is gonna give us a good show this week.

This was not the greatest match played by the USWNT. At times the team seemed very flat and there was no oomph in the offense.

That 17 y.o. for Panama, Demera, could be a handful for our defense if we don't key in on her....

Thanks again for the PBP: my dish is out and I couldn't get MatchTracker to work. Does in not run with Netscape or something?

Sounds like the match sort of sucked, so guess I didn't miss much...

Well it was 3-0, as everyone knows, but who thought the second half was crap?

Mia had some great runs and ball handling. How she runs as fast as she does is beyond me. Especially that first really long run in the first half when she was fouled. I thought there should have been a card there, but the only way that girl was going to slow Mia down was to drag her down...and she did.

I wasn't impressed with Parlow today. Sure she scored, but my grandma could have scored off that feed. And once she ran out of steam, was there a big girl to put in to replace her? No. Why? Because Abby's not on the damn team!!! *sigh*

Aly Wagner. Nice goal to start the game. Beyond that, I didn't think she couldn't make a clean pass to save her life.

O'Reilly did a good job of kicking the ball out of bounds. Very impressive.

I was glad Mac scored. She worked hard the time she was in there and deserved one.

I thought the defense played well today. Joy still has some serious wheels. The midfield was good. I thought Jules played really well. Hucles impressed me with two really nice shots on goal.

That's all for now. I'll think of more. Trust me.

I wonder if the team doesn't like playing for April? Maybe the vets and new kids don't get along? Something is wrong; the game should have been a blowout.

I didn't think it was either of those, honestly. I just think some of the players played like crap today.

See above post for players I think played like crap. :D

i dont think ne1 can blame this poor game on aly wagner and heather o'reilly. it was everyone who was playing flat. everyone made mistakes from what i gather, and i think we will see a much better performance in the next game.

I didn't think Foudy played all that well. I counted at least 3 giveaways. And where was Milbrett? I didn't see her on the bench. The announcers were really crap, especially Milburn. We got Zero inside info on anything. Mac and Hucles brought some energy in to help Lilly.

I wish Mac and Millie could be on the field at the same time, together as forwards, at least once and awhile for the National Team. I know they're short, but so what; it can work.

I don't know what's wrong either, this game should have been a blow out. What the hell are we gonna do when we face teams like China and Norway???? I don't know what's going on and I'm getting worried. Where the hell was Millie?? Also, what's up with the attendance??? Things don't look good at all. I'll blame it all on April again...

I just got back from the game a little while ago. I'll try and give some semblance of a "report" tomorrow, but I'm too tired now.

I do want to say that Millie WAS there. She, Benson, Fair and Beene did I don't know how many laps/sprints around the field after the game. It was fun watching them, but they never came over for autos afterwards. :(

I was shocked as hell to see Beene there tho! My cpu fan died and I haven't been able to use my computer, so haven't been able to keep up with stuff here. Thanks to the idiot phone tech, the guy that came the other day brought the wrong fan, so I have to wait until I get home to get that fixed. Fortunately I have free use of the computer here at my friend's house, so I'll catch up in the next day or two.

Oh! and I ran into midget Milbrett and Jeff briefly, but we had seats on the opposite ends of the stadium, so I didn't get to see them after that. Hopefully on Tuesday tho.

Now I'm off to find out why Siri is out and then get ready for bed. Gotta get up stupid early tomorrow.

I don't know if Panama looked a whole lot better on TV than they did in person, but I watched my Division II UCI team play UCR last week and either team would have handily beaten Panama. Mighty Midget Milbrett wanted to pass herself off as a player because she thought she could take them all on and come out victorious. Some catastrophic event would have to occur for Panama to be competition for the US (oh yeah, and Mighty Midget Milbrett :p ).

Also, there was an article in the 0-0 Carolina/NY game mentioning that Milbrett injured her hip - so this might be why she didn't play...giving her a rest???

    You guys were on TV....

Right after the Wagner goal in the 5th minute the camera panned into the crowd and lo and behold there was the Mighty Midget Milbrett sandwiched in between lab99 and espeseth4/TritonSpirit/nordby1/whatever SN Jeff is using now celebrating the goal.

    :D

And how come no one was wearing red???

Oh yeah and FSW Report showed highlights of the match tonight. Yay FSW Report. This is such a kickass show...so much better than Sky Sports News!

At least I wasn't the only one who thought that second half was ************.

I expect we'll see a much better game Tuesday.
