Figo and Rui Costa to miss the game, and Pauleta is not in the starting lineup. Adding to the intrigue both Simao and Nuno Gomes are not wiht the team due to injury.

Here is your starting lineup according to Abola:

Sweden vs Portugal (R) Why was this not televised on RTPi??

Boy this sounded like a great game on the Radio!! It's always the great games that don't get televised on RTPi. Portugal was loosing early 2-0 but go a goal from Conceicao (PK). They got a goal from Romeu to tie the game. Portugal Substituted towards the end of the game putting in Rui Costa, Figo, and Pauleta. Rui Costa scores the game winner!!!!! This is really what we needed right now. A win against a good opponent!!

    Forca Portugal!!

I listened at home, sounded like a heck of game, RTPi's news should start soon, I'll catch the highlights. It sounded like Rui Costa's goal was especially good.

Rui Costa's goal sounded exceptional from what the commentator was saying. Sounded like a hard shot from well outside the 18 which went top left corner. I hope this gives Rui some added confidence with the seleccao.

I saw a replay of the goal on the news. He was dribbling the ball at the top of the area (on the left-hand side moving towards the center of the pitch). He then curled a beautiful arcing shot right under the far post. Pure brilliance.

From all accounts, Portugal dominated the game after committing two early defensive lapses. Nice to see contributions from Romeu. It also sounds as though Sergio played well (goal on a PK, and he hit the cross bar on a blast from the right wing).
