NY Times: "We have mutually agreed to hold discussion about a new contract for Clint in abeyance.''

Sounds like they are waiting for Nick to get fired. Something that should happen after the Harrison situation is resolved one way or the other.

That will be a sad day when that happens. For the other 9 MLS franchises, that is (or 11, if he somehow holds on for two more years).

    cute line........

Did anyone notice the line in this article "Team not interested in Recalling Past - Pasadena Star News" that said the Rev's and LA are the hottest two teams in MLS? I wonder how could that be? Could it be that, hey they are the only two teams left playing. Not that I am trying to say they aren't playing well, but that statement was a bit funny when you are as tired as I am now.

BTW, Congrats to Jolley for his humanitarian work.

As a mark of honor, I'll refrain from calling him Dirty Jolley for 10 minutes.

Re: Re: The Game of Their Lives

"With casting in mind, they are applying the same formula that worked so well for Hoosiers - using real athletes whenever possible. Pizzo and Anspaugh did not have to go outside the state of Indiana to find basketball players with a little bit of acting talent, but this script calls for more lines from the players. This means a more extensive search. They already have scheduled tryouts in six cities - St. Louis, Chicago, New York, Washington, Denver and Los Angeles."

So maybe someone reading these boards may get to play a role in the movie.

Don't know if anyone else noticed in the Globe article about tickets sales...MLS Cup will be broadcast in Spanish as well for those with SAP on their TVs.

    Good news there as well.

Re: The Game of Their Lives

Since the movie is supposed to have some kind of MLS connection, does that mean that Andrew Shue will play the leading character?

No, the article also states that they must be at least "college caliber" players.

College All-American, my friend. I know dissing Shue is fun, but you can't say he wasn't an awesome college player.
