The soon-to-be Portland Power beat the the Nomar Garciappara Breakers 3-0 tonight on some football field in Wilton, Connecticut.

milbrett told me Millie scored and uhhh two other players scored. I wanna say Mustonen but I was not sure as a bottle of Astrolube spilled all over my lap as I was driving and talking.

Ducar didn't play. Webber was in goal for the first half and the Power's reserve GK played in the second half.

Justi Baumgardt Yamada was NY's playmaker and milbrett said that she was better than Lalor.

Uhhh that's about it for now.

damn you beat me to it!
    line-ups Power
    Webber
    Pearce,Raveia,Tietjen,Fair
    Janss,Rapp,Justi,Davey
    Pearman, Millie
Boston Line-up (No Germans or Mellgren)
    LeBlanc
Jenna,Aldama,McCann, Kalli(?) (she was definiately there the second half)
    Lilly,Hucles,Dacey,Sanchez
    Yohe, Alexia B

scoring was Milbrett in the 3rd min on a looping ball that (looked like she was gonna get a field goal from the far end of the field) dropped in for a goal. Pearman had the assist. 1-0 Power at the half
Free Subbing (at least the Power were)
    Nicloe Williams in for Webber
    Bonnie Young in for Fair
Pearman moved to Davey's middy position and Minna was in for Davey and put up top with Millie

Slater went in for LeBlanc in goal for Boston

Power goal @ the 50th min, Pearman header off a Millie cross...Nice goal
Power goal 59th min, Minna header (i think Millie played the cross...they never announced the assist) After the goal Hoffman came in for Millie, Davey went back in for Janss, Clark in for Lilly, and Splaine(?) in for Yohe....Janss when back in later for Pearman.
the game was very back and forth. Whelchel was there but was not suited up (injured?) No Sa, Mags was the only SD player we had for the game. She was ok, probably our weaker player but i'm cutting her slack cuz she did just start playing with them this week. I think she'll be fine though. Justi did play very well in the center middy role as did Raveia in the center of D. I though Power was playing better the second half. they settled the pace down some, the first half they were rushing things. Good game though.

well the wusa.com site credits Tietjen with the assist....I guess Millie knocked it to Mags and she sent it to Minna....it was a nice header!

I really thought Tietjen played well. She played central defense in the first half, then moved back out to the left side of defense in the second half. Had a great cross on the Mustonen goal. Both Tietjen and Pearce made some good overlapping runs, which we didn't see much this past year.

Both Webber and Williams were in good position to make saves on the few shots Boston could muster. Good job defense.

Anita Rapp also was moved into the center of the midfield with Justi Baumgardt. They played very well together, and put the Power forwards behind the Boston defense a bunch of times.

It really looked like a different team. I was impressed.
