A star is born. On a night when Jardel returns to the starting lineup for Sporting, he is eclipsed by 17-year-old forward Christian Ronaldo, who scores two goals to lead the Lions to a 3-0 win over Moreirense. After Kutuzov put Sporting in front, 1-0, at 30', young Ronaldo scored goals in the 34' and the 90' to seal the victory.
According to this article, scouts from ManU and Inter (among others) were at the game. I have seen a couple of articles that reported ManU interest in the young player. It makes a lot of sense when you consider that Carlos Quieroz is on the coaching staff for the Red Devils. http://www.planetfootball.com/article.asp?id=113431&cpid=8&title=United+trail+Ronaldo"/>
I agree this kid is awesome. My only problem is that we build up these kids and then we can't keep any. He will be gone as will Quaresma by the end of this season. And maybe they might be gone by December. I like to see us build up our youth, but they are gone before we can truly enjoy them. That is hard. Good luck to them both!!!!!!!! By the way, Jardel up front does make a difference. He opens things up for the others. JVP IS COMING NEXT!!! Any idea when Sa Pinto will be coming back?
