It should be 1 point, not multipoint. It's called indoor SOCCER not basketball with no hands. A goal is a goal is a goal, it shouldn't matter how far away the shot is taken from.

If enough fans consistently let the league know that they want traditional 1 point scoring by finding ways to give the league an earful, (i.e. petions, signs, e-mail and letters to the league and team offices hopefully they will change it. If the soccer leagues want to make the extra effort to connect with the fans (unlike the OTHER sports leagues) they will, and should comply. Soccer needs all the fans they can get, right?

Hey, they eventually got rid of the shootout in MLS, didn't they?

    Saturday, October 12....
The past and present come full circle...
A new chapter in Cleveland soccer history...

Yeah, and then the fans STORMED BACK to the MLS stadiums. Oh, wait, ...they didn't.

But, hey, the NFL went to MULTI-POINT try-after-touchdowns, didn't they? So this is the most popular league in this country, and they ADDED scoring methods to their game.

Are you waiting for the count-up-clock, too?

It would hurt the league more if there were humongous signs "BAN THE THREE-POINT" (like those signs at MLS games "BAN THE SHOOTOUT") that it do more harm than good.

There's nothing wrong with the scoring system. Save your ink and connect time.

    Keep the multiple scoring goals.

The clock doesn't really change the game on the field much, but 3 point goals do. It's a dumb system, and should be replaced with the traditional one point goals. It works for hockey and every other soccer league in the world, so let's go back to the old system.

It would not hurt the league if we complained. If anything it would show the league that they have fans that care enough about the league to bitch and moan. If someone doesn't care, then they won't write in. On the other hand, people that care buy tickets. MISL does not want to piss off any fans, and therefore lose their customers money.
