    Well, the only news they have to report is about how Sergio Ramos went to see a bullfight during LPB-Valladolid on Sunday... Who can blame him? If he had shown up at the Bernabeu there was always the risk of being caught on TV napping. :D

    My thought exactly. I found the same lineup announced. Apparently Pep either thinks Klinsmann is bluffing about losing honorably or he wants BLOOD!

    Edit: Whoa! Almost missed this: Abidal is a starter!

    Really surprised to see Messi in the lineup. I can only guess that Pep's going for the goal that will really kill the tie.

    Easier to have Messi start then put him in in a tense situation.

    Early mistake by Abidal, put in a bad spot by VV's pass, leads to Toni header--wide.

    All I can think of is that Messi might get his yellow at some point of the tournament and I ponder which is the right time to get it. This match, next match or try to go through without having it at all? Obviously the worst one is to get it in the second leg of the semi.

    If we keep a clean sheet in this game--against this team in this environment--it will almost be more impressive to me than the 4-0 win at home.

    Stupid but deserved, IMO. Alves was lucky not to get a cheap second as well.

    First, Messi only has 2 yellows in La Liga all season, and only 1 in CL. He is unlikely to pick up 2 more in the next 3 CL matches.

    Second, IF he, or anyone, gets a 3rd yellow in the 2nd Semi, there is a UEFA rule that allows players to play in the final in such situations. It was discussed in past threads.
